PATRICIA BAHIA (pronounced Bah-HEE-yah) is an indie pop singer-songwriter and cancer survivor based in Los Angeles. With a voice as smooth as polished stone that’s been through the rock tumbler of life, and a collection of frank, sparkling indie pop tunes in the vein of Aimee Mann, Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles, she lives her bucket list and inspires others to do the same.

In addition to being a performing songwriter, Patricia frequently collaborates with artists and bands, and has garnered placements in TV Shows and promos, including Younger (TV Land), Quantico (ABC), Heartbeat (NBC), The Fosters (Freeform, formerly ABC Family), Switched at Birth (Freeform, formerly ABC Family), and Finding Carter (MTV), and the end title credits of the indie film Rose Bowl. One of her co-written songs was just chosen as the team walk out song for the San Diego Gulls, and will be played at every game in the 2016-17 season.

Patricia's latest full-length CD, Save Your Heart, is AVAILABLE NOW.

"You can’t help but be uplifted and inspired by these tunes.  Bahia is a gifted songwriter with impeccable timing and amazing vocals."
--LAMusicCritic.com

From the ethereal power-pop of “Resilient” to the snappy feel-good lilt of “Good Day,” and the heart felt ballad “Blue On Top Of Blue,” [Bahia] obviously has a deep pool of songwriting talents . . . The lyrics are honest, intriguing and appear to be straight from a soul who has lived the stories...

"feel-good pop with graceful lyrics."

Be the change

Love v. Hate. Be the Change.

While much of America seems to be getting more and more divisive, I'm going to be holding doors for strangers, letting people cut in front of me in traffic, greeting all I meet, exercising patience with others, and smiling at strangers. I'll do this as often as I have the opportunity. I will not stand idly by and let children live in a world where unconditional love is invisible and being rude is acceptable.
Join me in showing love and respect to others. Find your way to swing the pendulum in the direction…

Every Day is a Gift: Thoughts on a 13th cancerversary

Celebrating 13 years post cancer today. Thirteen years ago on October 4, 2003, I had my final round of chemo for ovarian cancer. Thirteen years later I'm grateful to be alive, to be living my second-chance "bucket list" life as a singer, songwriter, recording artist and music educator. And to be living my mission to spread love, healing, joy and peace through the power of words and music--and to inspire others to follow their dreams.

My challenge to myself today is to embrace every moment, including the…

Latest News: WHY WE WALK Anthem Gets National Press

The word is out! All over the U.S., news organizations are reporting on the press release the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition sent out a few days ago about my song, Why We Walk.

"The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition has teamed up with singer-songwriter, and ovarian cancer survivor, Patricia Bahia, to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer. "Why We Walk," written by Bahia and produced by Jon Hayes, was released digitally by DreamSongs Records earlier this month, which is "National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month," to help raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. The song, inspired by her own journey, is set at a walking pace, and is being featured at several NOCC Run/Walk events this month and throughout the year."
