PATRICIA BAHIA (pronounced Bah-HEE-yah) is an indie pop singer-songwriter and cancer survivor based in Los Angeles. With a voice as smooth as polished stone that’s been through the rock tumbler of life, and a collection of frank, sparkling indie pop tunes in the vein of Aimee Mann, Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles, she lives her bucket list and inspires others to do the same.

In addition to being a performing songwriter, Patricia frequently collaborates with artists and bands, and has garnered placements in TV Shows and promos, including Younger, Quantico, Heartbeat, The Fosters, Switched at Birth and Finding Carter; and the end title credits of the indie film Rose Bowl.
Patricia's new full-length CD, Save Your Heart, is AVAILABLE NOW.

L.A. MUSIC CRITIC AWARD Nominated for:
BEST CD Female, and BEST ARTIST Pop/Rock Female

"This music is so full of life and passion that it is positively irresistible.”
– Music Morsels Reviews
"You can’t help but be uplifted and inspired by these tunes.  Bahia is a gifted songwriter with impeccable timing and amazing vocals."

From the ethereal power-pop of “Resilient” to the snappy feel-good lilt of “Good Day,” and the heart felt ballad “Blue On Top Of Blue,” [Bahia] obviously has a deep pool of songwriting talents . . . The lyrics are honest, intriguing and appear to be straight from a soul who has lived the stories...
 – Mark Waterbury

"feel-good pop with graceful lyrics."

Getting Away

In December I will be attending a 10 day silent Vipassana meditation retreat. No talking, no phones, no writing, no touching, and no exercise except walking, for 10 full days. I'm nervous about being unplugged for so long. It will be a challenge. So on the trip my husband I just took to Canada for his birthday, we experimented with "unplugging lite:" Vancouver Island for 11 days with no guitar, no keyboard, and no laptop (I did have my iphone though, that's why I say "lite" because there's a lot you can do…Read more

Reflections on a Week of Music

Reflecting on what a lovely week of music it has been. A few of the highlights from a bucket-list week:

Started the week with a studio session on Monday to record a fun new song with Lindsay Paige Garfield Athena Marie, and Timothy Hafer. It's a super catchy, gotta get up and move kinda song called Best Night of Our Lives.

Monday night I sang a couple of my songs under the stars at Cortney Matz's Moonlight Mondays on the patio at Epiphany Space. This is me and Cortney after we performed our co-written song…

In the Studio for SOUL AND BONE

I'm excited to be going into the studio for the recording of SOUL AND BONE a new song I wrote with my friend, the singer-songwriter and Americana artist, Christine Rosander. Christine and I both live here in Los Angeles, but we met in Nashville last Summer at a songwriting retreat with Mary Gauthier. (Here we are with Mary outside Monell's Restaurant in Nashville). It so happens that Mary is playing at McCabe's tomorrow night. We are hoping to get to see her after we finish at the studio.

SOUL AND BONE will…Read more

Bucket-list Life News August: In the Studio, On Stage, and On the Trail

For the last several years I have been repeating a mantra to myself: "I am living my dream today." Most days I feel it to varying degrees, but this week has been over the top amazing and just keeps getting better. Here are a few of the highlights:

In the Studio
Monday and Tuesday this week I was in the studio with Bill Lefler, the producer who worked on so many of my favorite Ingrid Michaelson recordings. My co-writers and I were recording tracks for The Bright Times, a new musical project I have been…Read more

Latest News: WHY WE WALK Anthem Gets National Press

The word is out! All over the U.S., news organizations are reporting on the press release the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition sent out a few days ago about my song, Why We Walk.

"The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition has teamed up with singer-songwriter, and ovarian cancer survivor, Patricia Bahia, to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer. "Why We Walk," written by Bahia and produced by Jon Hayes, was released digitally by DreamSongs Records earlier this month, which is "National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month," to help raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. The song, inspired by her own journey, is set at a walking pace, and is being featured at several NOCC Run/Walk events this month and throughout the year."
