Reflecting on what a lovely week of music it has been. A few of the highlights from a bucket-list week:
Started the week with a studio session on Monday to record a fun new song with Lindsay Paige Garfield Athena Marie, and Timothy Hafer. It's a super catchy, gotta get up and move kinda song called Best Night of Our Lives.
Monday night I sang a couple of my songs under the stars at Cortney Matz's Moonlight Mondays on the patio at Epiphany Space. This is me and Cortney after we performed our co-written song Even if You're Broken. Several people said we made them cry with that one. We love that.
Then Friday, another cool recording session with Christine Rosander to record my harmony vocals on several songs for her upcoming CD, including our song Soul and Bone, which we co-wrote together. Here's one of us in the studio lounge, and another of me in the vocal booth.
This morning we sang Soul and Bone at Christine's church in the Palisades and many said they got "chills." Yasssss.
Now, I'm headed to my co-writer Ali Handal's birthday party to celebrate, eat yummy food, play Cards Against Humanity, and probably do a little sangin'.
So lucky and grateful.
