Why We Walk--Kickin' Cancer

This morning I had the opportunity to share my music at Kickin' Cancer, a powerful women's cancer event raising awareness and funding for education and preventive care. I met supporters who have lost friends and family members to ovarian cancer, as well as other survivors. It was inspirational to see the community come together to raise millions for the cause, and to play my part to help rally the crowd. If you haven't heard the song yet, you can download it here for free.

The highlight of the day was meeting so many extraordinary people, including Amy Cohen Epstein, who lost her mother to ovarian cancer, and went on to found the Lynne Cohen Foundation with her siblings; Wes, an 11-year ovarian cancer survivor who wears the coolest sunglasses, and works for Smarty Pants, a groovy gummy vitamin company; and Paulinda Babbini, who lost her 20-year old daughter to ovarian cancer, and went on to found the Ovarian Cancer Circle, a non-profit that raises funding for research.

A few photos to give you an idea...
