PRESS - INTERVIEWS

“Even though the life of a songwriter and music maker is challenging in so many ways, it’s something I find I simply have to do. I don’t really have a choice. I’ve tried to leave music and “be normal” more than once. It never works. I end up being miserable and getting sick. Luckily, I know the cure. Music is my medicine.” - Patricia Bahia

“This may sound strange, but I feel like the biggest [influence on my career] was getting a cancer diagnosis. I was always a singer… But I didn’t write my first song until I received an ovarian cancer diagnosis... That was the wake-up call that propelled me to start writing songs. It was something I’d always wanted to do, but... I was scared. I didn’t think I could. I had all these reasons, but it [cancer] was finally what got me to do something that I always wanted to do. That’s why I have a career as a songwriter now.” - Patricia Bahia
