“I call myself a “Bucket List Passionista” because I truly am living my bucket list dream life as a songwriter, performing artist, and coach. As a songwriter I get to write and produce songs with and for other artists and for sync (TV, film and commercials). As a performing artist I get to share my unique and authentic voice and stories. And as a coach I get to help empower others to uncover, claim and develop their musical passions to fuel their dream lives. ” - Patricia Bahia

“This may sound strange, but I feel like the biggest [influence on my career] was getting a cancer diagnosis. I was always a singer… But I didn’t write my first song until I received an ovarian cancer diagnosis... That was the wake-up call that propelled me to start writing songs. It was something I’d always wanted to do, but... I was scared. I didn’t think I could. I had all these reasons, but it [cancer] was finally what got me to do something that I always wanted to do. That’s why I have a career as a songwriter now.” - Patricia Bahia

“I know how lucky I am. When I worked as an attorney, work never felt like this. Back then, I would wake up most days filled with dread. Now I love doing what I do so much, most of the time it doesn’t feel like work at all.” - Patricia Bahia

“One of the things I try to do as a songwriter and artist is to create songs that help lift people up, combat negativity with hope and optimism, and help us remember that we’re all one family living on one planet. ”

“The most gratifying thing for me as a songwriter is when someone tells me my song resonates with them, that it helps them feel something. That has been happening a lot with this song [Hold On]. I’ve been getting private messages from people that the song touches them deeply, which means the world to me. Some have told me that they’re listening to it on repeat and letting the tears flow. People who have lost family members or friends to suicide, or mental illness have thanked me for the song. And others just love the song without even knowing the original intention behind writing it.” - Patricia Bahia
