Happy Tuesday!  

As a songwriter, the most common question I get is, “what’s the story behind the song?” So, I made this BEHIND THE SONG video

“Be Here Now“ was written by me and my co-writer Diana Rose Dawson as a reminder to ourselves to be present for and in our own lives. And to remember to remember what’s important. 

I find it easy to get distracted and forget what really matters. Some days I think I’m just going to check email or social media “real quick” and hours later, I find myself scrolling, comparing, “should-ing” all over myself, and feeling worse the more time I spend.  

This song reminds me that I’ve only got this one life, this one time, and to be present for it: “this moment in time, is one of a kind, and it’s never coming back around.”  

If you ever feel overwhelmed, not-enough, too much, pulled in so many directions you don’t know if you’re coming or going, distracted, uncentered. . . this song is for you.
